Overwatch 2 unexpected error occurred: Fixes & Workarounds

The primary cause of this error is server overload as the game servers suffer from a high influx of players during Beta access. Well, there is no need to worry as Blizzard has been consistently increasing its server capacity which will ultimately result in fixing this error for good. However, if you are facing this error, here are some known workarounds that will get your game running again.

1) Queue for another game

Since this is a server-side issue, there is nothing much a user can do. So, if you encounter this error, queue for another game and hope that the error doesn’t pop up.

2) Restart Overwatch 2

Restarting the game and trying again after some time is also a workaround that many have tried. So, consider doing so and the error should be fixed, hopefully.

3) Check your Internet Connection

If you have an unstable internet connection, then chances are that it is unable to connect to the game servers. So, either get a new connection or switch to a wired connection.

Well, these were all the workarounds that we currently suggest for you to try. There is nothing to worry about as the game is currently in Beta and such errors won’t be existing in the game once it is officially launched.
