Xenoblade Chronicles 3 is the fourth installment in the Xenoblade Chronicles franchise. It is an action role-playing video game developed by Monolith Soft and subsequently published by Nintendo. The fact it was published by Nintendo makes it understandable why the game is released exclusively for the Nintendo Switch console. The game is set in the fictional land of Aionios where there is an ongoing war between the Keves and Agnus nations. Characters have the ability to change their class which results in them having access to new abilities. This makes it increasingly necessary that players know how to switch characters and which character or party member to use for what particular circumstance. Let’s show you how to make the switch.

Switching to a character in the middle of an ongoing battle automatically makes that character the leader of the battle party. You will first have to unlock the ability to switch or change characters by progressing in the game to the point where you unlock the ‘Changing Player Character’ option which will be displayed on the screen when it is unlocked. Play the game to the point you battle Moebius, which will move you to control Mio’s group and eventually lead you to meet with Noah’s group as well. At this point, a cutscene of the meeting will show the two groups discussing how best to partner with each other to form an Ouroboros while also planning to march to the city. The Changing Player Character option will now be displayed, and you can now switch characters by simply holding the ZL button and pressing either the L or R button to switch characters in the game.
