Assassin’s Creed Valhalla Not Working on Windows 11: How To Fix It

Ubisoft’s darling, the Assassin’s Creed franchise continues to evolve with each game. Starting from a stealth-focused game to turning into an action RPG, the series adapts to the market as easily as its assassins into the crowd. Taking inspiration from Prince of Persia, it saw a meteoric rise to the top, leaving its progenitor behind. Today, the game has achieved an iconic status in the industry, while Prince of Persia suffers in the remake limbo.

Assassin’s Creed may have turned classic, but it doesn’t mean that it lacks problems. The constant release of new titles just as COD and Battlefield, have turned their games into a buggy mess. Every time a new one launches, one thing you can be assured about is, that players will say it’s unfinished and full of bugs. Stories are also not that good in recent titles. Granted, Assassin’s Creed was never really known for its story quality but the original trilogy has some merit to them. Valhalla, the latest in the mainline games, tries to fix some of those issues. It succeeds in some areas and falters in others. And with a new entry into the series arriving next year, it’s the right time to pick up and play Valhalla. However, there have been issues around the game not launching on Windows 11 devices. And so we have decided to put out this guide, to help you experience a smooth Assassin’s Creed Valhalla experience.

Right-click on it and select Properties. Go to the “Local Files” tab where the “Verify integrity of game files” option will be located. Press the option and let it run. If you happen to have content missing from the game, it will notify and redownload the files for you.

Run in administrator mode –

Lots of games need you to run them in administrator mode for a myriad of reasons. If you are unable to launch Valhalla normally, try this method. Go over to the game icon, right-click on it, and select Properties. There will be exactly six tabs but you only need to select the Compatibility tab. At the bottom, you will notice the “Run this program as an administrator” option, click on it. Now you are ready to run the game. You can also select the Compatibility mode option for Windows 10/7 if the issue persists.

Update the Game and Windows –

When it comes to Windows, it’s highly recommended that you update it at frequent intervals. Windows updates keep your device healthy and issue-free. To update Windows, go to Settings > Windows Update > Check for updates. Download the update if you have one.
