As the game progresses, dinosaurs play a vital role in the game. Let’s look at the best gathering dinosaurs in Ark: Survival Evolved that aid smooth gaming.

1) Moschops

They are extremely easy to tame and are also one of the best fiber gatherers that you can get. They can also help to gather berries and once you have them leveled up, they give you the access to increase the amount of stuff they level. Although their stats are a little bit lacking on certain things, they’ll definitely help you out, especially in the early game. You can passive tame them.

2) Doedicurus

These dinosaurs would be useful if you’re going to be gathering stones. Doedicurus has weight reduction which helps them go from one pile of rocks to another. They could help gather as much stone as you need.  The more time you spend gathering stones, the more stone you get. They are mostly found on mountain tops and hilly tops. You can tame Doedicurus with some narcotics and a few mejoberries.

3) Ankylosaurus

They are the gathering trio (stone, metal, and wood). The tried and true Anky is really helpful in gathering all the metal that you can possibly get. They also have a good weight reduction metal.

4) Mammoth and Castroides

The Castroides and Mammoth are equal in their ability to gather wood. The mammoth is big and can carry a lot of stuff and can be used to reduce the amount of damage done when being attacked whilst gathering wood. Well, not only do the Castroides have a Smitty on their back for their saddle, but they are also faster than a mammoth. They are also super-fast inside water if you need to swim.

5) Stegosaurus

Once you level up the movement speed of the Stego, you can gather up so many berries. This dinosaur is really quick and efficient in gathering. You can also use one of your Stegos as your boss. They prevent you from being knocked off the saddle so you don’t have to deal with Microraptors while you’re out gathering.

6) Therizinosaur

They help to gather all sorts of stuff ranging from wood, thatch, fiber, berries, and even hide and meat. They are extremely effective at what they do.  Just like Moschops, you can level up their harvesting which makes them really good. However, they do not have any weight reduction.

7) The Mantis

Even though the mantis can gather up a bunch of stuff, they do not have any weight reduction. They also overharvest so much that it keeps you amazed. The mantis is said to be the best gatherer because it can gather literally anything.

8)  The Strider

The strider with the harvesting attachment is the absolute best during a gathering. If you need the one with a great weight reduction, you need to get the one with the saddle bags on it because it would aid the strider in carrying stuff. They also have a bed attached to their backs that can be used for fast traveling and a terminal used for uploading pieces. They are by far the best gatherers in the game.
