EA Cricket 07 Not Working on Windows 11: How To Fix It
Now that you have downloaded the game on your Windows 11 device, it’s time for you to use these workarounds if the game seems to be not working.
Run the game in compatibility mode –
Due to the game being quite old, newer devices will most likely be unable to properly run the game, unless it runs in compatibility mode. To do this, right-click on the game’s .exe file and select Properties. Next, head over to the Compatibility tab. In the upper corner, you will notice the “Run this program in compatibility mode for” option which you need to select. Next, choose Windows 7 in the dropdown menu, click ok and apply. Now EA Cricket 07 should be ready to play on Windows 11.
Restart your PC –
You can also try to restart your PC to fix this problem. To do this, just click on Start and select Power options. You will see three options – Shutdown, Restart, and Sleep. Choose Restart and wait for your PC to do so. Now, try opening the game and see if it runs. If it doesn’t follow the next fix.
Run the game in administrator mode –
If launching the game normally isn’t working, it’s time for you to use another method. By running Cricket 07 in administrator mode, you are allowing the game to use resources that it couldn’t access without such access. So, for this, select the app shortcut or icon and right-click on it. Choose Properties > Compatibility. You will notice the “Run this program as an administrator” option at the bottom. Click on that one, press Ok, and Apply. Now, run the game and see if it launches.
Downgrade your Windows –
As the game happens to be from 2006, you can try to downgrade your Windows 11 to Windows 10/7. However, this is not an ideal solution since downgrading your windows version for a game isn’t such a good idea.
