Not only from consoles but from PC as well and whether Playground Games has Crossplay planned for its upcoming racing sim Forza Horizon 5. Read on more to find out all of the details about Crossplay and other features.
DOES FORZA HORIZON 5 SUPPORTS CROSSPLAY
The good news about the game is that Forza Horizon 5 fully supports Cross-platform capabilities between Xbox consoles and PC counterparts. Meaning you and your friends can play together, provided you have a good internet connection to avoid lags and enjoy seamless gameplay. In the previous Forza game, one full seasonal rotation was required to complete before being able to squad up with your friends.
While Forza Horizon 5 doesn’t have any limitations on who you can play with, the game imposes some limits on keeping your progress across both platforms.
WILL FORZA HORIZON 5 SUPPORT CROSS-SAVING?
Based on the official Forza Motorsport FAQ page, the game will let players keep their achievements and progress regardless of the platform they’re playing on. While they’ll be able to join with anyone else in the game, they can’t transfer their save file from Steam platform to Xbox consoles.
HOW TO TURN OFF CROSSPLAY ON XBOX
If you feel like PC players have an unfair advantage over you, Forza Horizon 5 offers an option to turn off crossplay so you won’t meet them in matchmaking. You need to explore more into the options to switch them off
- Go to Xbox Settings
- Navigate to Account and go to Privacy and Online Safety
- Select Xbox Live Privacy
- Select View Details and Customize
- Click on Communications and Multiplayer
- Switch “You can play with people outside Xbox Live” to block.
This will prevent PC players from matching up with you, however, it may also increase your queue times for events that require several players.
