Clash of Clans is going strong as ever as it crosses the decade mark. Launched in 2012, it was Supercell’s fifth game to be published. That same year the studio also released Hay Day and shut down three previous games – Zombies Online, Pets vs Orcs, and Battle Buddies. 2012 was a great year for them as both Hay Day and Clash of Clans went on to become top income generators. Clash of Clans especially expanded massively in terms of the player base. The rise of smartphones was monumental in mobile gaming becoming “mainstream”. Today, it even dwarfs the PC and Console gaming market. Even combined, it’s still able to come out at the top without breaking a sweat. That rise is the reason Clash of Clans still thrives.
Supercell has been an excellent example of supporting games throughout their life. Something which Ubisoft and EA should take a lesson in. The dev team behind CoC released some major content in their December update. A new capital district called Skeleton Park became available, although you have to unlock Capital Hall 8 to access it. By getting the Skeleton Park you will get a new Capital troop – Inferno Dragon. Town Hall 13 clashers now have a new Super Troop to try – Super Miner. There are a lot of other new and exciting things in the December update, which you can read here. How To Appear Offline in Clash of Clans? Is It Possible
Unfortunately, Clash of Clans doesn’t have an appear offline feature. The devs also have not expressed any opinions about implementing such a feature in the game. Some players have though, however, we don’t think it will be made available anytime soon. So, for now, all we can do is wait for the studio to react to this, based on fan demand. Also, if you really want to appear offline, you can just remove players from your friends list as the status of your account is only shown to players in your friends list.
