How To Fix Steam Family Sharing Not Showing All Games Issue?

Ever since Valve launched Steam in 2003, it has maintained its place as the number one game distribution service in the PC market. This wasn’t always the plan for the company though. Valve had designed Steam as a means to provide updates and content roll-outs for its games. Later on, however, the studio decided to incorporate other game store features and become a PC games storefront. Today, it’s the go-to site for almost every PC player around the world. One thing that has helped Steam remain the top dog in the competition is its stellar game sales. No other storefronts offer such good deals as Steam. Plus, the regional pricing of games, helps gamers everywhere to not worry about equal one-to-one prices. And with SteamDeck gaining more momentum, it will be exciting to see what the future holds for the company.

The Family Sharing option saw its release in 2013 along with other new things like Steam Linux Client, Trading Cards, and the famous Steam Early Access. The family share option is a great feature that allows users to share their games with loved ones. You can even use this feature to test out games before you buy them yourself. However, the feature can at times give some issues like not showing all of the games in a library. This isn’t to mean that there aren’t any fixes to this problem. Give Administrator Privileges –

Almost every app and game nowadays requires administrative privileges to run properly. You might be facing the games not showing issues due to this. To give administrator privileges, right-click on the application’s .exe file and select Properties. Click on the Compatibility Tab and choose the Run this program as an administrator option. Click on OK and Apply.

Make sure your games are up-to-date –

Outdated games tend to be the root of this problem. Luckily, Steam offers an easy way to update them. If you have already automatic updates selected, then no need to worry there. If not, select your game, right-click on Properties > Updates > Always keep this game up to date. You can also choose the “Only update this game when I launch it” option.

After the Run opens, type cmd and press Enter. Next, input the command – SFC/SCANNOW and press the enter key. Let it run in the background and do its job. Once the process is finished, close everything and reboot.

Check file integrity of games –

Open Steam and head straight to the Library. Right-click on your game, and choose Properties > Local Files. You will notice a Verify integrity of game files option.
