Well, the introduction of a multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3 was a huge success and the devs are aware of that. Since Mass Effect Legendary Edition didn’t get the popularity it deserved, the devs might have connected the dots that due to the unavailability of a multiplayer mode, their game wasn’t able to be as successful as they wanted it to be. If we take this into account, then it is quite obvious that Mass Effect 4 will be featuring a multiplayer mode. Also, there are chances that a PvP multiplayer mode is introduced in the game unlike the Co-op multiplayer mode in Mass Effect 3. Mass Effect 4 Release Date
Unfortunately, if you are waiting to play Mass Effect 4 in 2022 or 2023, you will be highly disappointed to know that the game won’t be released anytime soon. Bioware has released information regarding the development status of the game and revealed that the game will be built on Unreal Engine 5. They have also stated that Mass Effect 4 will undergo full production in 2023. Well, this clearly means that the game will be released in 2025 or later.
