McDonald’s Sonic the Hedgehog 2 Happy Meal toy includes a surprising addition

It seems that Sonic the hedgehog 2 toys have poured into McDonald’s Happy Meals. The official website for Happy Meals here in the United States has been updated with information about the toys ahead of the film’s release on April 8. Previously, the toy was available internationally, which makes sense since the film was previously released internationally. The official website has images of seven different toys, but if you know where to look, an eighth is hidden.

If you just look at the pictures of the toys on the Happy Meal site, there are seven of them: two Sonics, two Tails, two Knuckles, and a Robotnik. However, if you click on the individual images, a short video shows them in action. At the time of writing, a video pops up as expected when you click on the first Tails toy in the list, but for an unexpected toy: Super Sonic. Which, given that they’re for the sequel, gives an idea of ​​what to expect.

Sonic the hedgehog 2 is currently scheduled for release in the United States on April 8 in theaters. The sequel sees the return of protagonists such as Ben Schwartz as the voice of the eponymous hedgehog, James Marsden as Tom Wachowski, a police officer who befriends Sonic, and Jim Carrey as Dr. Robotnik, the franchise’s classic villain and scientist, as well as Idris Elba as the voice of Knuckles and Colleen O’Shaughnessey as the voice of Miles “Tails” Prower.
