PS5 error ce-100005-6: How to fix it?

Restart your PS5–

Let’s start with the easy one. While this may seem a simple step (which it is), it’s known to solve most of the problems with your console. Just turn off your PS5 by pressing the power button and unplugging the cables from the socket. Wait for sixty seconds, plug it back in, and start the console. Check if the issue persists.

Clean your disc –

Sometimes the console may show an error due to your disk being not under proper condition. Simply, get the disk out, and use a clean cloth to remove dirt and other harmful stuff. Do not use anything other than a clean cloth and do it carefully. Otherwise, the disc will suffer damage.

Reboot in Safe mode –

To start the process, press the power off button on your PS5 for three seconds. When the console is turned off, press it again and hold it for seven seconds. Look out for a second beep. The moment you hear it, usually after seven seconds, release your finger from the power button. Connect the controller by using a USB cable as wireless connectivity will be disabled. Press on the PS button. You have now rebooted the console in safe mode.

Check storage space –

Due to a limited amount of storage for the PS5, i.e, 825 GB, the console will start giving out this error if the remaining memory is very low or full. By clearing out some space, you will be able to get rid of the issue.

Check PS5 Server –

At times, the problem may not even be with your console but rather with PlayStation itself, or more specifically the servers. Unfortunately in this case you really can’t do anything except wait. But don’t worry about it much since Sony has a great record of fixing server errors.

Check Internet Connection –

A slow internet connection will also lead to the console outputting the ce-100005-6 error. You can also reconnect your internet by turning off the wifi and restarting the router. Let the console connect and try playing a game to see if the error shows up.
