RPCS3 not using GPU: Fixes & Workarounds

1) Use Nvidia Control Panel

Access the Nvidia Control Panel and head to the Manage 3D settings option. Now, go to Program Settings and click on Add. Here, find the RPCS3 application and then select it. Now, scroll down below and set the Select the Preferred Graphics Processor for this Program option to High-Performance Nvidia Graphics Card. This option will make sure that RPCS3 is using your GPU. After this, hit apply and launch the application.

2) Use Windows Graphics Settings

Head to the Start Menu and search “Graphics Settings”. Now, enter the Windows Graphics Settings option, and then under the Choose an app to set preference option, click on Browse. Now, head to the directory where the .exe file of RPCS3 is present. Click on it to add and then select the Options button. Now, make sure that the option is set to High Performance so that the application uses your GPU.

3) Reinstall and try both methods again

If the methods failed to fix the problem with RPCS3, then consider reinstalling the application and then repeating Methods 1 and 2 again. This should definitely fix the issue for good.
