Lego Star Wars: Skywalker SagAND is a really, really great game full of hundreds of characters, ships, planets and weapons that are drawn from them all Star Wars a movie that has ever been made. But as a lifelong Star Wars nerd, i’m very skilled at the nerds of things i love, and after thinking about that for a while, i came up with a list of seven characters that should be included as playable characters in this latest, greatest Star Wars adventure.

It should be noted that on this list, I have (mostly) avoided complaints about missing characters from TV shows, comics or other non-film media. It is quite clear that TT Games focused almost exclusively on live action Skywalker saga movies when creating a character list. So even though I’m sad we don’t have Cada Bane, Thrawn or Aphra here, I understand why.

However, there are still characters who have appeared in the movies, even with talking roles and names that have not established themselves as playable characters.

So with it all off, here’s my list:

Garindan (Imperial Spy)

This is probably the saddest omission on the list. Back in the old Lego Star Wars games, this alien spy with a sports nose was the boss you fought Episode IV campaign. Flashforward to 2022 and release Skywalker saga and not only is he no longer the boss, but he is not a playable character either. This is quite a degradation. Sorry, Garindan.

Quinlan Vos

technically Quinlan Vos barely appears in Hidden threat, appearing on the background of a single scene at Tattooine. He has no name in the film and no dialogues. In the following years, however, he was given a name, a story and turned into a Jedi, who eventually appeared in many comics, books and even Clone Wars animated performances. And he already has a Lego figurine. I mean, add this great Jedi via the DLC package, please.

Agen Kolář

I don’t want to throw too many other Jedis on this list because Skywalker saga he already has tons of them, so who needs another. However, Agen Kolář he had to cut as a playable Jedi Skywalker saga. The guy was present when the Jedi, led by Mace Wind, confronted Palpatine and tried to arrest him. This is a big moment Star Wars History. Still, it is left in the toy box for this latest Lego game. Maybe because he died about 2 seconds after the fight?

Elan Sleazebaggno

Yes, this guy is dead Episode II should be in this game. Come on! He has a rhetorical role, a bit of an arc of character and is in an unforgettable little scene. Sure, he never officially got a Lego minifigure. But I don’t think it should take poor Sleazebaggno completely out of the game. Especially if TT Games is fine, including and (possible) murderous droid. Someone even filed a petition to include the guy. It received less than 25 signaturesbut still … someone cares.

Joh Yowza

Sy Snootles and Max Rebo are inside Skywalker sagabut Joh Yowza isn’t it For shame, TT Games … for shame. Maybe you finally included Yaddle, and I thank you for thatbut don’t break Max Rebo. I know we all hate. “Jedi rocks“But we can’t hold it against Yowz all those years later.

Grebleips

The Asogians were a species that was part of the Galactic Republic during the era Clone Wars. If they look familiar, it’s because they are a direct reference to the film ET and are designed to look like the main alien out of it. Grebleips technically appear in one scene in the look and look that you find in Episode I. And yes, his name is Spielberg written backwards. Star Wars is stupid. Sorry. Does not matter. Forget about this.

Well, this never happened, but given how many random references to things like South Park, Better Call Saul, and Taken over can be found in this game, I was shocked that they do not include a fun nod to one of the best and most popular SNL scenes from the last decade.
