In 1996, the video game industry and the world itself would witness something which at the time was unheard of. Even the creators were not so sure about how it would be received by others. Unbeknownst to them, this “thing” would go on to become one of the biggest media franchises of all time. And it would mark the birth of a new genre. Published by Nintendo and developed by Game Freak, Pokemon Red and Blue (in North America) was released in Japan. Two years later it would come to the US with the Game Boy. And thus a legend was born. The game quickly became a massive success, effectively laying the path for future release and a franchise. The monster-collector genre became so popular that it saw countless other imitations. Some are good, a few great, and others are just pure garbage.
Temtem which was released last year in September is also inspired by Pokemon. While GameFreak at this point is running on nostalgia fuel, other devs have been trying to capture that creature-collecting feel. And some have excelled in it. Monster Hunter Stories, Digimon Story: Cyber Sleuth, and Shin Megami Tensei 5 are just amazing, to say the least. Temtem’s developer Crema certainly tried to give their best and almost succeeded too. Currently, Temtem is available on Windows, Xbox Series X/S, PS5, and Nintendo Switch. Now you might be wondering if you can play the game using Steam Family Share as it’s already available on Steam. Let’s find out if it does!!
Temtem Steam Family Share Feature: Is It Available
Unfortunately, at this time, Temtem doesn’t support Steam Family Share. It was available though, but the devs deactivated the feature, without any solid reasons for the same. So, if you want to play the game, you would have to buy it for yourself.
