Will PSVR2 Work on PC?

Gaming technology is improving at an unbelievable speed. This is evident in the number of new ideas that have been worked into reality and the upgrades made to the existing software and hardware. PlayStation’s virtual reality headset owned and operated by Sony Interactive Entertainment is just one of many such improvements. PSVR2 is not a recent innovation as it was preceded by PSVR earlier released in October 2016 with the code name Project Morpheus. The device is set to be released on February 22, 2023, following the announcement made by official sources. From the demonstrations given by PlayStation, the hardware will be compatible with the PS5 console through a single USB-C cable. The device is designed to track the user’s movement using the four cameras mounted on the headset.

This would be different from the previous model that traced user movement through 2 cameras. The list of games the device will be compatible with is yet to be released, but there are tons of predictions and subtle demands from fans as to which video games should be included. However, that’s not all that fans have been asking as they have been seeking information to know if PSVR2 will work on PC. We know you would love to know more about this, and we will give more than satisfactory answers with references from official sources.

PSVR2 will introduce many new PS accessories to fans, starting new controllers known as Sense Controllers designed to relay haptic feedback and recognize finger touches. OLED Panel and 4K display resolution have also been confirmed for the device among other things we would love to delve more into, but let’s focus on the main topic at hand.

Will PSVR2 Work on PC?

From all indications and announcements made by PlayStation, PSVR2 will be exclusively compatible with the PlayStation 5 console, therefore there is no reason to believe it will work on PC when it gets launched. Although users found ways to coerce the PSVR to work on PC using third-party software, it wasn’t originally designed to. It then comes as no surprise that PSVR2 will be exclusive to PS5, at least during the initial launch. However, with the way Sony is focusing on PC, there is hope compatibility between the two devices will be a thing. If not, then third-party solutions will definitely be available. This is just speculation from our side, so make sure to take this information with a grain of salt.

We will bring you more updates on this if any are rolled out. For now, kindly share this article with friends and everyone in your gaming community. Also, stay in touch with Vabsaga for more gaming news and tips.
