Subnautica Below Zero: How To Build Snowfox

Planet 4546B is a frozen place and the two major elements are water and snow. By now you must have figured out how to navigate the aquatic sections, which leaves out the snow. The size of this alien planet is simply stunning and we hope you were not planning to navigate it on foot. You might pass out from exhaustion or exposure to cold and if you think of using wheeled vehicles, they will simply get stuck in the snow. That is where the Snowfox comes in. If you have been wondering how to build Snowfox in Subnautica Below Zero just like everyone else, you are on the right track as we will share all the details regarding the same.

The Snowfox is thankfully the first vehicle in Subnautica Below Zero that can be used when you are not in water. It works like a snowmobile but with a twist as it barely touches the ground/snow. You can customize it to your taste and upgrade it. This vehicle will also save you the risk of running into unfriendly creatures like Snow Stalkers. Let’s show you how to craft it.

Building the vehicle might seem a bit complex from the outset, but following our guide will certainly make it easy. Before you launch into it, it should be known the Snowfox can’t be built directly as you will need to craft the Snowfox Hoverpad first upon which the vehicle will be based and also the vehicle’s blueprints. Here are the fragments you will need for the Hoverpad:

  • 2 Titanium
  • 1 wiring kit

These fragments can be found near the Phi Robotics centre. Once the Hoverpad is crafted,  you have to move around to get fragments to build the Snowfox. You can find them in the Glacial Basin, Marguerit Maida’s Base, and the Phi Robotics centre(located in Glacial Basin). You will need the following to craft the vehicle:

  • The Snowfox Hoverpad
  • 2 Magnetite
  • 1 Battery
  • 1 Lubricant
  • 1 Titanium

Assembling these listed items on the Hoverpad will build the Snowfox. However, make sure to use a Solar Panel to power the Hoverpad. Now, you can build and deploy the Snowfox from there to drive around with. The vehicle has the added advantage of being almost damage proof, so simply position it properly and continue on your way if you crash it into a snow-covered object. Also, you can actually upgrade the Snowfox for better performance.
