Gameplay and Battle System
As the protagonist of Pokemon Legends Arceus, you will join the Galaxy Team as a member of the Survey Corps. You can select your fellow team member between Akari or Rei. Your goal will be to meet every species of Pokemon from all corners of the Hisui region. This is for completing the land’s first-ever Pokedex! Jubilife Village will be your main base of adventure. Encounter and battle it out with Pokemon of the Hisui region. In the game Pokemon Legends Arceus, you will get to catch wild Pokemon, seek out Pokemon. To catch a Pokemon, you need to battle it out with them. After weakening them, you can catch them. To start a battle with a Pokemon, you need to throw a Pokeball at a Wild Pokemon. Therefore, the Pokeball you throw would contain a Pokemon, which would be starting the battle.
In the game, Pokemon can remember four moves at a time, which they can utilise in the battle. The moves your Pokemon can use can be divided into two categories, namely Agile Style and Strong Style. Master on using these two styles skillfully to dominate Pokemon Battles. There is a Strong Style, where the Pokemon’s move will see an increase in power. But due to this, the action speed of the Pokemon will be lowered.
Pokedex
In the game, you will be adding information to your Pokedex, as you catch Pokemon. But to complete the Pokedex, we need to keep studying the Pokemon and complete research tasks. This would increase your research progress and reflect on the Pokedex entry. As you complete the Pokedex research task, you will be contributing to the Galaxy Expedition Team, raising your rank as a team member. As part of the Pokedex Quest, you will have Research Tasks for the Pokemon, where you will see
- Number caught
- The number defeated
- Number you’ve defeated with a particular Type move
- Times you’ve seen it use Quick Attack
- Number of its forms you’ve registered
- Number you’ve evolved
- Pokemon Legends Arceus: Pokeballs
As the game is based during an older era, the Pokeballs would be made of Nature wood and Puffed Steam. Along with this, you will also have Smoke Bombs. This can help you to create a cloud of smoke, to reduce visibility. As a result, wild Pokemon won’t be able to notice you. A great accessory for a stealth approach. You also get to see Heavy Balls. These balls are more effective for catching Pokemon, that have not noticed your presence. But since they are heavy in terms of weight, you need to sneak in and come closer to throw it towards a Pokemon.
